Month of Dogs // Emma O'Brien

Foto ZA Gallery is excited to display a collection of award winning dog photographer Emma O’Brien’s work throughout the month of August.

Featuring brand new images shot for both the Sandton SPCA and The South African Guide Dogs Association, this is a portrait photography exhibition you won’t want to miss.

We have a wonderful line up of events to accompany the exhibition, all with a charitable element:

The Sandton SPCA Calendar & Exhibition Launch

Thursday 3rd August - 6.30pm - R100pp

Join us for the official opening of the exhibition and be the first to get your hands on a 2024 Sandton SPCA calendar. This is the 13th calendar that Emma has photographed and features gorgeous portraits of adopted dogs and cats now living their best lives. All proceeds from calendar sales go straight to Sandton SPCA and to date this is a creative project that’s raised over R1.5 million.

Fundraising Dog Pageant

Saturday 5th August - 10am to 2pm

We’re planning a day of fun and fundraising with the first FOTO ZA Dog Pageant! Enter your dog into one (or all) of our competition categories including: waggiest tail, craziest ears, a face only a mother could love and cleverest dog and be in with a chance of winning a photoshoot with Emma along with some other fabulous prizes. Entry fees are R50 per category and 100% of the proceeds are being donated to Sandton SPCA.

SA Guide Dogs Meet & Greet

Saturday 12th August - 10am to 2pm

We have some special four legged guests visiting the gallery at 10.30am. Pop in and meet Guide Dog puppies in training and learn more about the South African Guide Dogs Association’s amazing work and how you can support them.

Mini Portrait Shoots

Saturday 19th August - 9am to 3pm

Emma is offering a limited number of mini studio shoots at the gallery so if you’d like some award winning portraits of your dogs at a very special rate, now is the time. Mini sessions start at R650 and Emma will be donating a percentage of the shoot fees to Sandton SPCA and SA Guide Dogs. Pre booking is essential.
